Text Box: Casey Balaz is an artist. This is apparent in the many mediums that he calls upon to express his creativity. He is a single father with a love for all things artistic. He spent the last 10 years improving his skills as an air-brush artist. Expressing himself with art was easy, but he was reluctant to embrace the computer for his creations. He taught himself Photoshop and his art took on a whole new dimension. The Halloween Pickle is not the first book that Casey has illustrated. A few years back he wrote and illustrated “Fear of The Potty” for his son. Casey’s life experiences include artist, acting and writer, but his passion lies in illustrating.

Text Box: Casey has a unique way of illustrating his creations. He first hand-draws the picture and then scans it into Photo Shop. He uses the software to color and shadow the entire drawing. This gives the illustration a digital look.
